Who doesn't appreciate the color, character and craftsmanship of a good neon sign? I'm inspired by it's wow-factor, quirk and vibrancy. Sadly, due to neglect and disrepair, one-by-one these cultural artifacts continue to disappear, fading into obscurity. With that being said, they still remain relevant while simultaneously symbolizing a different time and place in American innovation. This body of work is an ongoing project documenting the vintage neon that remains. My imagery, along with the efforts of other neon enthusiasts, might just generate a newfound interest in a lighting trend that forever changed the face of American architecture. Please enjoy.
